Our Knife or Pocket Knife Sheath Making Package is a hands on leatherworking experience where you’ll design and create a bespoke leather sheath tailored specifically to your knife or pocket knife. Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll discover traditional leatherworking methods used to produce strong, attractive sheaths built for years of practical use.

Throughout the workshop you’ll learn how to accurately measure your knife, create a custom pattern, cut premium leather, punch stitching holes, saddle stitch by hand and finish the edges to achieve a professional-quality result. Every stage is demonstrated before you complete it yourself, giving you the confidence to develop genuine leatherworking skills.
Whether you’re adding the finishing touch to a knife you’ve forged with us or creating protection for a treasured knife you already own, you’ll leave with a beautiful handmade sheath that’s completely unique to you.
No previous leatherworking experience is required. We provide all materials, tools and expert tuition – you simply bring your knife and enthusiasm.

Working alongside one of our experienced blacksmiths, you’ll forge the blade from red-hot steel before hardening, tempering, grinding, sharpening and assembling the folding mechanism. Every stage of the process is demonstrated with expert guidance, giving you the skills and confidence to transform raw materials into a beautifully finished pocket knife.
This is one of our most advanced experiences and requires patience, precision and attention to detail. While it offers a rewarding challenge, complete beginners are more than welcome. Your instructor will guide you through each step, making it an enjoyable and achievable experience regardless of your previous blacksmithing experience.
Children aged 7 years and over are welcome to attend as the additional participant, provided the main attendee is aged 18 or over and actively participates throughout the experience.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a handmade folding pocket knife, valuable new forging skills and the satisfaction of completing one of our most challenging and rewarding blacksmithing experiences.
