Blacksmith Experience Days

We had an amazing 3-hour experience today. The welcome from the team was great and instantly you felt at ease being invited into the forge. There’s loads of inspiration at the start so that you can choose what to make, we went with a poker and a fork for our outside fire pit. We were expecting to get bogged down with safety instructions, but whilst safety is paramount at the Forge, Ben instructed us in a way that was fun, interesting and engaging! I was absolutely amazed at what we achieved in such a short time and I’ve already rebooked another session. Keep up the great work and see you guys soon!

This time we came back for my partner to make a hammer. Fab Health and Safety briefing from Joe to start, who balanced humour and essential info nicely. The level of craftsmanship that Sam demonstrated was an actual marvel. My partner was in awe of the skills on show and the patience taken to actually teach him and share the knowledge. At no point did he take over and the piece was very definitely made by my partner however, he guided and encouraged beautifully. To say we enjoyed it would be an understatement.

5-star experience (I didn't stop grinning all the time I was there), made brilliant by the passionate people who work there. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The biggest thing that makes this a great experience is the interaction, advice, and support you get from people who clearly love what they do. A big shout out to Joe and Helen who were our main trainers/guides/mentors, but also huge thanks to Luke, Aaron, Sam, Theo, and the team.

What a fantastic experience! We booked a sword-making two-hour course for my son's 18th birthday and spent two wonderful days learning new skills, working together, and generally enjoying heating up and bashing steel. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful and a particular shout out to Ben who guided us through deciding what type of sword to make, and through to how to finish it. Can't wait to have another go!
