After a warm welcome and safety briefing, you’ll begin your day in the forge, where you’ll heat, hammer and shape a piece of raw steel into your very own throwing axe under the guidance of one of our experienced blacksmiths. You’ll learn traditional forging techniques before refining your axe into a finished piece that’s ready for action.

Once your axe is complete, it’s time to head to our woodland Bad Axe Throwing range. After a full safety briefing, our instructors will teach you the correct throwing techniques before you put your handcrafted axe to the test. Whether you’re aiming for the bullseye or enjoying a little friendly competition, it’s the perfect way to finish an unforgettable day.

By the end of the experience, you’ll leave with a handcrafted throwing axe, valuable new skills, fantastic photographs and memories you’ll be talking about for years to come.

Our Axe Making & Throwing Experience combines traditional blacksmithing with the thrill of axe throwing for an action-packed day you’ll never forget. Under the guidance of one of our experienced blacksmiths, you’ll forge your very own throwing axe from raw steel before heading to our woodland Bad Axe Throwing range to put your craftsmanship to the ultimate test.

Please wear:

• Long trousers
• Sturdy, closed-toe footwear
• Comfortable clothing suitable for both the forge and outdoor activities

We’ll provide everything else, including all tools, materials and personal protective equipment.

Your experience includes:

• Approximately five hours in the forge
• Approx one-hour axe throwing session at our Bad Axe Throwing range
• Expert tuition from one of our experienced blacksmiths
• All materials, professional tools and safety equipment
• One handcrafted throwing axe to take home

Prices start from £255 per booking allowing a max of two people to make and throw the axe

No previous blacksmithing or axe throwing experience is required. Your instructor will guide you through every stage of the experience, making it suitable for beginners as well as those looking to try something new.
