3-Day Bush Craft Package

Bookings can be made through our online booking system, where you can view live availability and choose a suitable date. We’re open seven days a week throughout the year, although weekend dates book up quickly, so we recommend reserving well in advance.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know before your visit.

Each day is dedicated to a different bushcraft project, allowing you to build your skills as you progress. You’ll learn how to forge, shape, grind, and finish your knife and axe, fit the handles, and create a traditional flint striker. With expert guidance throughout, you’ll finish the experience with three practical bushcraft tools that you’ve made yourself and are ready to use on your next outdoor adventure.

Make a day of your visit and enjoy everything Oldfield Forge has to offer. Our brand-new café is the perfect place to relax before, during or after your experience, serving freshly prepared refreshments, delicious locally sourced Herefordshire food, homemade cakes and traditional afternoon teas.

With children’s games, a dedicated play area and plenty of space to relax, it’s the perfect place for visitors of all ages.

Please wear long trousers and sturdy, closed-toe footwear suitable for a workshop environment.

We’ll provide everything else, including all tools, materials, safety equipment, and expert instruction. Just bring your enthusiasm!

Your booking includes three full days at the forge (approximately 6–7 hours per day), expert tuition, all materials, use of professional tools, and all necessary safety equipment.

Price: £750.00 per person

At the end of the experience, you’ll take home your handcrafted bushcraft knife, camp axe, and flint striker.

This experience is suitable for complete beginners as well as outdoor enthusiasts looking to forge their own bushcraft tools.

Participants must be 18 years or over. Please note that these are three full, hands-on days in the forge, making this experience best suited to those who are happy to be active throughout.
