Your experience begins with a warm welcome and a comprehensive safety briefing before your instructor demonstrates the traditional blacksmithing techniques you’ll use throughout the workshop. You’ll then forge your candy cane, 3D star and heart with expert guidance at every stage. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with three handcrafted Christmas decorations and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made them yourself.

Please wear long trousers and sturdy, closed-toe footwear suitable for a workshop environment. We recommend comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dusty, and long hair should be tied back. All tools, materials and personal protective equipment are provided, simply arrive a few minutes early for your welcome and safety briefing.

The workshop lasts approximately three hours and costs £85.00 per person. Your experience includes expert tuition, all materials, professional tools and personal protective equipment (PPE). You’ll take home all three decorations you create during the session. If you finish your decorations before the end of the workshop, you’re welcome to relax and enjoy refreshments in our café. Gift vouchers are also available and are valid for 18 months.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners aged 7 years and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult, who is welcome to take part but is only required to remain on site for the duration of the experience. The workshop is ideal for individuals, couples, families and groups of friends. As the session involves standing, working around hot metal and using traditional hand tools, a reasonable level of mobility is recommended.
