Book through the online booking system, which shows live availability and allows you to select suitable dates. Oldfield Forge is open throughout the year, seven days a week, although weekend dates should be reserved well in advance. You can also buy an e-voucher, valid for 18 months, covering two people attending two full-day sessions and making two rings. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email with the information you need and a form to complete. The experience page advises flexible booking but does not set out the full cancellation or refund terms, so check the booking conditions or contact the team directly before purchasing if date changes, cancellations or refunds are important to you.

After a warm welcome and safety briefing, you’ll step into the forge and be introduced to the basics of blacksmithing. With plenty of guidance from your instructor, you’ll heat, hammer and shape steel as you work together—or side by side—to create your chosen project.

Expect plenty of laughs, a little friendly competition and the satisfaction of making something with your own hands. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a handcrafted keepsake and, more importantly, memories of an experience you’ve shared together that you’ll be talking about long after the forge has cooled.
