After a warm welcome and safety briefing, you’ll begin Day One in the forge, where you’ll design, forge, shape and heat treat your knife blade using traditional blacksmithing techniques. With expert guidance throughout, you’ll gain hands-on experience transforming glowing red-hot steel into a precision-crafted blade.

On Day Two, you’ll move into our dedicated woodworking workshop to create your knife handle. You’ll shape, fit and finish a beautiful wooden handle before assembling and refining your completed knife, ensuring it’s both comfortable to hold and visually stunning.

Throughout the experience, you’ll receive expert tuition at every stage, making this one of our most rewarding and immersive courses. By the end of the two days, you’ll leave with a handcrafted knife, valuable new skills and the pride of knowing you created every part of it yourself.

Our Knife Making & Handle Crafting Experience is the ultimate two-day knife-making adventure, taking you through every stage of creating your very own handcrafted knife. Starting with a piece of raw steel, you’ll forge, shape, heat treat and refine your blade before moving into our dedicated woodworking workshop to craft, fit and finish a beautiful wooden handle.

Working alongside one of our experienced blacksmiths, you’ll learn traditional bladesmithing and woodworking techniques while creating a knife that’s as practical as it is beautiful. Whether you’re a keen home cook, professional chef, outdoor enthusiast or simply looking to learn a traditional craft, this immersive experience allows you to create a knife that’s entirely your own.

• Comfortable clothing suitable for a workshop environment

We’ll provide everything else, including all tools, materials and personal protective equipment.

Prices start from £290.00 per booking, allowing  a max of two people to work together on one knife.

By the end of the experience, you’ll leave with a completed handcrafted knife and the satisfaction of knowing you created every part of it yourself.

This experience is perfect for complete beginners, aspiring bladesmiths, professional chefs, passionate home cooks, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who has ever wanted to make their own knife from scratch.

Although this is one of our more advanced experiences, no previous experience is required. Your instructor will guide you through every stage, making it an enjoyable and rewarding challenge for beginners and experienced makers alike.

Children aged 7 years and over are welcome to attend as the additional participant, provided the main attendee is aged 18 or over and actively participates throughout the experience.
